Even I Learned Site Building and Web Hosting!

This is a story about how I came to build this site and why I chose site building of all things to build my business. O.K. Where do I start? Well let's go back to March of 2008. In America, it is the year of a new election, the housing and mortgage situation is upside down with a rise in foreclosures across the country, the dollar is down against the yen and euro and gas prices keep going up. The economist are not talking recession but a modern day depression. Things in the land of the free and home of the brave were looking pretty bleak.

Hi! My name is Kendra and this is my story. My husband and I have always lived on straight commission. And when we don't work we don't get paid. In times like I just described everyone tightens the purse strings and consumer spending lowers. Thus lowering our income. The hard part about it was that the cost of living was going up with the rise of the gas crises. And we had to find a way to cover our living expenses. We were beyond giving up our discretionary spending, we had to find another means of income.

It was my 12th year of working in the direct sales industry and I was looking for ways to build up my business, when one day I was just talking with a friend that asked me if I would like to stay working at home. At this point, I was trying to remain at home with my children. She shared with me the concept of affiliate marketing and site building. Of course, I didn't have a clue about what it was much less how search engines or web sites work. Words like site building and web hosting overwhelmed me. I knew what they were, I just didn't know how they worked. So, for three months I scoured the internet to get my hands on as much information about affiliate marketing that I could. I didn't know what I was doing, I just knew I could do it. And then one day, I came across SITE BUILD IT. I won't lie to you I was skeptical. What was I getting for the price and what was I getting into? I read everything SITE BUILD IT had to offer regarding site building and found that they could teach me.

I originally wanted to build a site about cooking but found it to be much too competitive. I also knew how to put on a party that had my friends talking about it for months to come. Thus became the birth of the party planning guide.

So, here I am 4 months into my SBI Site and although I'm still paying it forward in terms of time I have received and am still receiving an amazing education. For less than a dollar a day with SBI I have learned so much more than I ever learned in a computer class when I was working toward my Bachelor's Degree. I feel as though the initial investment thus far has been in my education and that is something no one can take from me. Not even a recession.

This is not a get rich quick concept. There is much research and preparation before you can make the income, but it's out there in abundance! So, if you are thinking about affiliate marketing and you are a skeptic like me, then keep me in your favorites and continue to check back here from time to time to see how my business is growing.
